‘Dunki’, starring Shahrukh Khan, Vicky Kaushal, and Taapsee Pannu, released its trailer on December 5. On December 21, it will be released in theatres. That is, one day before Prabhas’s “Salaar.” Prabhas’s fans started a disastrous trend on social media as soon as the trailer for the film was released.
It seemed that the netizens were not satisfied with SRK’s accent in the trailer. Meanwhile, some people started calling Shahrukh Khan’s Punjabi accent a “Disaster” and “Boring” after seeing the movie’s trailer.

What is the Storyline of ‘Dunki’?
The “donkey flight”—a means by which undocumented immigrants travel to other nations, particularly the US and Canada—will be the central theme of the movie “Dunki.”
Nevertheless, if a recent report is to be believed, Dunki has nothing to do with Indian immigrants to Canada, even though it revolves around “issues of immigration.” Instead, it tells the story of a man who is looking for a better life.
Shahrukh Khan’s Dialogues Were Criticised
A user commented, “Boring,” first on Twitter and now on the social media platform known as X (formerly Twitter). The plot is not unusual; similar subjects have been covered in several Punjabi films.
The less I say about the trailer, the better. The Punjabi accent feels forced, the dialogues lack impact, and I struggle to connect emotionally with the story. Not to mention, the de-aging of SRK, whether in ‘Jawan’ or this, comes off as comically unbelievable.… pic.twitter.com/9Pxnrml8Ex

The accent irritates me greatly. I don’t think it’s necessary to combine Hindi and Punjabi. Not even this seems funny. If we just stayed with Hindi, that would be great, the other one wrote.
Simultaneously, another user commented, “The trailer will be better the less I say about it.” The Punjabi accent sounds artificial. In addition, the dialogue is ineffective, and I found it difficult to empathize with the story. Shahrukh’s age seems absurd, regardless of age. Perhaps this is Hirani’s least strong picture to date.
