Daniel Radcliffe, a Hollywood actor, has made a documentary on his Harry Potter stunt double, who was disabled while filming the hit picture. According to the Guardian, David Holmes collaborated closely with Mr. Radcliffe on the Harry Potter films until he suffered a spinal injury while filming Deathly Hollow: Part 1 in January 2009. The gymnast from Essex, UK, took to Instagram to unveil the “Secret Project” with Daniel, which he claims has taken four years. The HBO documentary titled “The Boy Who Lived” will include interviews with both actors as well as a video of Mr. Holmes’s stunts.

Being a stuntman was my calling in life, and doubling Harry was the best job in the world.  In January 2009, I had a stunt rehearsal accident that changed my life forever. “In the turbulent world, we find ourselves living in right now, I would like to quote Harry: ‘We are only as strong as we are united, as weak as we are divided,’ The stunt duplicate was also present. He also expressed gratitude to medical personnel and ‘Harry Potter’ author JK Rowling and Mr. Radcliffe for their assistance.

In his post, Mr Holmes also mentioned Mr Radcliffe. He stated that he and his wife were “immensely proud of our time on the ‘Harry Potter’ films, and the joy and comfort it brings to audiences around the world on a daily basis”.

David Holmes: The Boy Who Lived’ is the title of the documentary. It will be released in November. Daniel Radcliffe executive produces, and British filmmaker Dan Hartley directs.

According to HBO, the film explores universal themes such as overcoming misfortune, maturing, and building identities in an uncertain world. According to The Guardian, the upcoming film will include frank personal video recorded over the previous decade, behind-the-scenes footage from Mr Holmes’ stunt work, contemporary life scenes, and intimate interviews with Mr Holmes, Mr Radcliffe, and others.

“The film is a coming-of-age story of stuntman David Holmes, a prodigious teenage gymnast from Essex, England, who is selected to play Daniel Radcliffe’s stunt double in the first ‘Harry Potter’ film when Daniel is just 11,” according to the official synopsis released by HBO.
