Last 2 season of You, has been everyone’s favorite.
Now, after almost two years, Netflix has dropped the trailer. Folks, the YOU season 3 trailer is here!
The trailer is trending along with the Lil Nas X (giving birth, but that’s a story for different posts), in the USA. And let us tell you, it is full of absurdity, and blood. The series itself will be released on the 15th of October, which is almost a month away.
So, to make your wait a little less painful, let’s see what you should be expecting from the third season and, what’s new.
Firstly, and obviously, Penn Badgley will be reprising his role as Joe Goldberg. Who, despite being a psychopath, is everyone’s favorite. He will be joined by his partner in crime, played by Victoria Pedretti. And there is a lot to discuss. Let’s start with the plot of Season Three.
The plot
Like we saw in Season Two, the couple Joe & Love had decided to leave behind their bloody past, and focus on their baby.
But in the trailer, it is made clear that Joe hasn’t quite changed from the man he once was, or still is. And he is also shown peaking onto a woman who leaves next door, through a while in the fence.
As one would expect from YOU Season 3, this trailer promises a lot of delusional monologues, references to literature, and the blood.So, let’s see what’s going to happen in Season three, based on our analysis of the trailer and some news.
Netflix said that constantly Moving, Joe has now settled down a little north of LA, in a Californian enclave, known as Madre Linda. Here, his living with his new wife, and a newborn.
But as one would expect, things aren’t all that perfect.
Just like before, quite a few locals will be testing Joe, which includes “tech entrepreneurs, judgmental mommy bloggers, and Insta-famous biohackers”.As implied by the ending of season 2, Joe’s new role as a husband and father is conflicted by the possible new love interest, the neighbor, we see dressed in black.
We can’t help but wonder, “Is this the woman, Joe has been looking for all this time?”. Who knows, we’ll have to wait till 15 October to find out.
Season Three Cast
Season three will be having some new faces. With Penn and Victoria, this season will also see the return of Saffron Burrows. She will be reprising her role as Love’s mother, and grandma to a new baby.
Tati Gabrielle is also joining the cast. If you have watched The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, you might recognize him as the ever-stylish Prudence.
In addition, Michaela McManus from One Tree Hill and Dylan Arnold from 2018’s Halloween along with Scott Speedman, Shalita Grant, and Travis Van Winkle will also be joining the cast of YOU season 3.
