After several years of dominating Bollywood, Yash Raj Films is now all set to conquer the OTT with a web series. The trailer for the debut web series produced under this name, titled ‘The Railway Men,’ was unveiled today. This four-part series will be available on Netflix.

‘The Railway Men’ is an OTT series based on the true events of the Bhopal Gas Tragedy. This happened on the night of December 2-3 and is known as ‘Black Night’. On this night, toxic methyl isocyanide gas spilled from the Union Carbide plant in Bhopal, killing at least 3000 people. The online series ‘The Railway Men’ narrates the story of four heroic men who did not abandon their fellow citizens even after a major disaster.

‘The Railway Men’ Will Be Released on This Day

This inspiring online series will be released on November 18th, following Diwali. The OTT platform chosen for the distribution of ‘The Railway Men’ is Netflix. The four men’s roles will be portrayed by KK Menon, Babil Khan, R Madhavan, and Divyendu. They are the ones who saved many Bhopal residents from death during the tragedy.

In addition to them, Juhi Chawla and Sunny Hinduja will also have significant parts in this web series.

Director Shiv Rawail’s Thoughts on the Show

Shiv Rawail makes his directorial debut with ‘The Railway Men’. In a statement regarding the film, he offered his opinions on his debut series. He said,

“It’s been a deeply emotional and rewarding journey directing this series.” It’s a narrative about the human spirit that needed to be conveyed to remind people of the power of overcoming hardship. I am flattered and privileged to be in charge of this series.

To be able to carry out my passion project under the capable supervision of YRF Entertainment; and to collaborate with talents such as R Madhavan, Kay Kay Menon, Juhi Chawla, Raghubir Yadav, Divyendu, and Babil.

He further added, “This is my first outing as a director, and for this series to reach a global audience through Netflix is a dream come true.”
