Karan Johar is a well-known name in Bollywood. KJo received an honor at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) 2023 after his remarkable journey of 25 years in the film industry. The filmmaker-producer marks his comeback with Alia Ranveer’s Family Drama film, ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’.
The film is getting mixed reviews from the audience and critics as well. Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani also features the great Dharmendra and Shabana Azmi in significant roles in addition to Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh. Dharmendra is seen kissing Shabana Azmi in one of the movie’s sequences. Some people went offensive when they saw 87-year-old Dharmendra performing a kissing scene with 72-year-old Shabana Azmi, and they criticized the actor on various social media platforms.
Dharmendra has now opened up, in response to the criticism over the Lip lock. Here is what he says about that scene-
Dharmendra on Kissing Scene with Shabana
During an interview with a News Channel, He stated “I am hearing that I and Shabana have surprised the audience with the kissing scene”. I think people were not expecting something like this to happen. This came very quickly, that’s why such a reaction has been seen. In “Life in a Metro,” I previously performed a kissing scene with Nafisa Ali. The public applauded it at the time.
In my opinion, there is no age for romance. Age is just a number. Neither Shabana nor I had any embarrassment while doing it.”
Karan has Made a Fantastic Film, Dharmendra
In addition to this, Dharmendra complimented Karan Johar for creating a “Fantastic Film”. He stated, “Karan is such a talented filmmaker, and he produced such an amazing movie.
Congratulations to my loving team 💃🕺💃🕺💃 and lots of love 💕 to my loving audience 🤗 pic.twitter.com/e068MmwuDY

I worked with him for the first time, and I had a great experience. All the star cast of RKPK have performed well. The entire RKPK cast gave great performances. Both Alia Bhatt and Ranveer are excellent actors. Shabana performed great in the film so did Jaya [Bachchan], who I always called my Guddi.”
